About G. Bruce Schaalje

G. Bruce Schaalje was reared in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. He earned a BS in mathematics and an MS in zoology from BYU, an MS in biostatistics from the University of Washington, and a PhD in statistics and biomathematics from North Carolina State University. He served as professor in the Department of Statistics at BYU before coming to live in the North Carolina mountains. Dr. Schaalje conducts research on methodology for correlated data. He applies his statistical expertise to a great variety of fields and has coauthored publications in such diverse areas as accounting, biology, chemistry, engineering, history, literature, marriage and family science, medicine, religion, and psychology.
