Honors students in the department of mathematical sciences take courses specifically designed for talented students. Recently we have offered honors courses in mathematical logic, cryptology and coding theory, the mathematics of voting and elections, mathematical biology, 20th-21st century mathematics, and music and mathematics.
Our honors courses open to all students who have exhibited outstanding ability and interest in the mathematical sciences. Honors courses are typically small in size, interactive in nature, and very much student-centered. If you want to be involved in honors and have not received an invitation from us, please contact the Honors Director. He can help you determine if honors courses are right for you.
