Minors

The Department of Mathematical Sciences offers undergraduate minors in mathematics and statistics. Designed for students majoring in other departments, the minors include 12-13 hours of coursework.

Undergraduate Minor in Mathematics

Students in this minor complete MAT 1120 Calculus II, and then select 9 additional hours at the 2000-level or above.

Undergraduate Minor in Statistics

Students in this minor complete 12 hours of statistics courses.

Curriculum

Students work with an advisor to plan their path through the curriculum, including selection of approved electives. Students can track their progress via their Degreeworks worksheet, accessed through Appalnet.

Programs of study for minors are determined by the year a student starts at Appalachian.
