Department of Mathematical Sciences

Molly Compton began her academic journey at Catawba Valley Community College, where she earned dual associate degrees in Science and Art. She later transferred to Appalachian State University, completing a B.S. in Mathematics with a concentration in Statistics and an M.A. in Mathematics with a concentration in College Teaching.

Molly lives with her husband, Eric, and their two dogs, Buddy the Elf and Blue. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, snowboarding, camping, and rollerblading. When she’s not in the math department, you can usually find her outside exploring the High Country.
