We are plased to announce that Dr. Tracie McLemore Salinas will step into the role of department chairperson on July 1. Tracie has been on the faculty in our department for 19 years; she earned her BS in mathematics and social sciences from William Carey University and an MS and PhD in education from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Most recently Tracie has served as Director of the Math and Science Education Center here at Appalachian. Chairperson Dr. Eric Marland will be remaining in the department as Professor of Mathematics.
