Social Networks and Graphs
Holly Hirst
This presentation begins with a review of some basic graph theory and introduces how graphs can be used to analyze networks, including social networks. Measures of center will be introduced, along with a few examples of network analysis from partner disciplines.
Minimal math background is assumed, so any math major should be able to follow the talk. People teaching MAT 1010, 2030, and modeling (at any level) may find this topic to be adaptable for their courses.
