Dr. Phillip Johnson, Professor Emeritus of Mathematical Sciences and former director of the Math and Science Education Center was inducted into the Reich College of Education's Rhododendron Society here at Appalachian. The Society was created in 1999 to recognize distinguished alumni of the college. Dr. Johnson received his bachelor's degree from the College of Education in 1959.
