Congratulations to Dr. Nii Okine. Dr. Okine appears in the Society of Actuaries' recently released list of those earning their ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) credential. Dr. Okine is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics and joined the Appalachian State mathematics faculty in the Fall 2020 semester. While at Appalachian he passed two actuarial exams, Fundamentals of Actuarial Practice (FAP) final assessment and Predictive Analytics (PA) exam. In November he completed the final requirement for ASA by passing the Actuarial Professionalism Course (APC). Dr. Okine came to Appalachian from the Graduate School at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned his Ph.D. in Actuarial Science.
