Harnessing the Power of AI in Education: Opportunities and Challenges
Abstract: Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the education sector, with the potential to improve teaching and research in a number of ways. AI has been proven to offer effective support for online learning and teaching like personalized learning for students, With the advent of new AI programs like ChatGPT and Google Bard, their potential will be discussed in this lecture with emphasis on how they can be integrated to upgrade teaching and research doing the task of a research assistant, science communicator, to name a few. Aside from the benefits, the possible challenges and risks with their utilization will also be included in the discussion.
