Off campus scholarly assignments (OCSAs) encourage faculty to maintain, develop and/or broaden their academic competencies. Therefore, OCSAs can take a wide variety of forms, depending on the needs of the faculty member. I will discuss how I developed on my OCSA, in particular in the areas of reproducible research, data science, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
