Scholarships

The Department of Mathematical Sciences awards several scholarships each year to current students and to incoming freshmen.

Applications are available through the department office or click below to get an application to print and submit. Applications can be mailed to the Scholarship Committee, Department of Mathematical Sciences or turned in at the department office on the third floor of Walker Hall. Check with the department office, 342 Walker Hall [ph: (828) 262-3050], to verify application deadlines.

Department and College Scholarships Awarded to Current Students

Students currently enrolled at Appalachian who have majors in the Department of Mathematical Sciences may be eligible for one of the scholarships listed below. Except for the S-STEM Scholarships, which have a deadline of December 15, applications from current majors must be received by February 27, and awards are made by the department's Scholarship Committee by March 15.
