• Jenna says that her mathematical background "certainly was necessary to get me in the door. I also feel it gave me a strong foundation to build upon while studying for actuarial exams."

Advice for students:

• Jenna recommends, "If you do want to pursue an actuarial career, take the exams seriously. I first attempted to study to pass exams. It is much more efficient to study an extra 100 hours to be as confident as possible of a pass than have to study another 4 months to retake the exam."
